With the hustle of our daily world and the ongoing responsibilities in our lives, there is never just enough time to sit down in silence and calmly just fall into the deep thoughts of your mind. We always have places to be or to get things done, never allowing ourselves to connect to ourselves, and living without a realistic intention or purpose with what we want to in our lives. Here are 5 reasons why waking up at 5am could literally transform you into the best version of yourself.

Personal development

Waking up at 5am, you're giving yourself time to sit back and relax and letting yourself get to know you as a person. During the early morning it's always quiet, and gives you time to work on yourself to become better. Personally I've recently started to wake up earlier, giving myself time to workout, meditate, or even read/ listen to something motivational. Reading allows you to learn something new, doesn't matter what it is, and it builds up on your general knowledge allowing you to produce better results. Go on a walk, or read something which you've been wanting to read, or meditate to create intention and find your purpose on life.

Progress towards your goals

Most people who wake up late in the morning feel rushed, and tend to be in a bad mood knowing that they've wasted hours of the day they could've been doing something better. By waking up early you're starting YOUR day off right and on a positive note getting you into the mindset of working harder towards your goals. A favourite habit of mine in the morning is to meditate for a minimum of 5 minutes to really reinforce the message of why I had started, and not letting myself quit midway.

Getting your work done, when most people have just started

One key to success is to have lunch at the time of the day most people have breakfast”

I've noticed that when I get my work done and out of the way in the morning, the results I get from them are progressing than the times when I've rushed them the night before. When you've woken up your mind is refreshed and has the motivation to get work done. Take advantage of the silence around you to focus on your work: when you're surrounded my excess noise it reduces the deep focus causing distractions around you.

Becoming disciplined

It can be a challenge to get yourself up early for the first few days, especially during the winter. But once you create the habit of waking up early, you are also creating the habit of discipline. No one has ever liked waking up early and leaving the warmth of the sheets wrapped around them, but people like have woken up early. Getting yourself up earlier, is you already being disciplined because waking up early isn't easy no matter how easy it sounds, and it's always difficult but if you can than that's an achievement.

No more distractions!

During our day we spend most of it sleeping and the rest busying oursevles in daily chores or wasting time on social media. I've been the least productive later in the day because I've already spend all my energy doing things that aren't as important and procrastinating things that I should actually be doing. Getting up early and grabbing a cup of coffee, instantly activates you to start tackling all the work you have ahead without having anything to divert your concentration.
